I saw what you wrote about your husband and how sad that is. I had to leave my boyfriend back in December and I told him the same thing. "I can not stand by and watch you do this to yourself any longer." It took about 3 months but he checked himself in to a rehab. 10 days later his best friend was dead, who was also a friend of mine whom I talked to 3 to 4 times a week. I am grateful that my guy has made it into recovery and here is the thing. You did not cause it, you can not control it, and you can not cure it. We as addicts must do that all on our own, sometimes we don't make it. I wanted you to know that my prayers are with you as I know how hard it is to lose someone you love to drug and alcohol use. Do not listen to those who blame, they are hurting, they don't understand, and for some reason need to blame someone. God bless you. ~K
